From an early age, Renata had always been engaged in a very physically active lifestyle – dance, gymnastics, baton, poms, and various team sports. When she came to yoga, however, she found so much more than just another fitness activity – she found her life's calling. Renata explored many styles of yoga, then fell in love with Ashtanga Yoga. After years of practice, she learned that there is so much more to yoga than just the asana postures – yoga is a complete lifestyle. Renata noticed immediately after she began practicing yoga that her mind and heart began changing. Her heart grew softer, her mind more clear, and for the first time in her life, she began to see her true purpose. Everything began to make sense. The clarity she had gained through vegetarianism was brought to the next level through her yoga asana practice, then when she found Bhakti Yoga, she knew she had everything she was looking for. Embracing the path of Bhakti Yoga, Renata began studying yoga philosophy at the Bhakti Yoga Shack on Kauai, and is actively applying the principles of Bhakti Yoga in her life. She currently studies ancient Vedic Yoga scriptures, such as the Bhagavad Gita, and has incorporated yoga mantra meditation into her daily practice. Renata has learned that to truly be a teacher of yoga, one must embrace the yoga lifestyle, being a teacher by example. She is committed to always improving her own practice in order to be the best example she can be for others.

Renata's classes allow you to explore your body - finding strength from within, while consciously connecting with your heart and breath. She designs her classes so that everyone can participate by including modifications for beginners, and helping experienced yogis to find new heights. Renata especially appreciates that Power Yoga reminds her that when life gets tough, we have the choice to breathe and let it go.

With a passion for travel, she completed her Yoga Teacher Training Koh Phangan, Thailand. Since becoming a teacher, Renata has taught in Chicago, California, and currently rooted in Hawaii.  Renata is also certified in Core Power Yoga Sculpt (Yoga with weights) and is a Certified Holistic Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
